Mediation is a formal settlement conference conducted by a trained. certified mediator. Sanford Thompson has been a certified mediator since 2001. Since that time, he has served as a mediator in hundreds of cases. He is frequently chosen to mediate large, complicated cases. He has taught mediation techniques to other lawyers.

Mr. Thompson has also been selected to serve as an arbitrator in many cases. Arbitration is a process similar to a trial in which the arbitrator or a panel of arbitrators listens to the evidence and renders a decision. Arbitrators are the judge and jury in such situations.
